JOHN MINCH had a Masters Degree in Geology from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. Degree in Geology from the University of California, Riverside. He had been working in and publishing on Baja geology and natural history since 1963. He played a major role in the San Diego State Baja geologic mapping project from its beginning in 1963. He described and named the Rosarito Beach Formation and led trips into and written logs about Baja since 1972. John also spent many years working as a consultant to national utilities, developers and other companies, focusing on the natural resources and land development throughout Mexico. He was a consulting paleontologist and geologist in the United States and a California State Professional Geologist.
JASON MINCH is currently working in the Business Development department for California Resources Corporation. He has extensive knowledge of graphic design, publishing and cartography in the environmental and petroleum industries. Jason has been working and photographing in Baja since 1986. He has been instrumental with the overall design and layout of the Roadside Geology and Biology of Baja California.
